COVID 19 UPDATE

Weddings and Ceremonies 

The Registration Service is committed to ensuring we move to a position where we can safely increase guest numbers again as we know how important it is for couples marrying with us.  Since the previous update,  the service has worked hard to carry out a thorough review, ensuring all  health & safety considerations are taking into account as Havering Council still has a duty to keep staff and visitors safe.   We have also taken into account the change in risk as the current Covid19 infection rate is declining .  For that reason, the Registration Service is pleased to be able to return to its usual capacity at weddings & ceremonies from Monday 7 February 2022.  

The new capacity numbers are as follows: 

East & West Room

     Total number of people is 50

Orangery

     Total number of people is 80

Hall

     Total number of people is 100

All numbers above include, couple, bridal party, witnesses & guests.

* Workers are not included i.e. 2 Registrars & 1 Photographer

If you are booked in the East / West Room there may be an opportunity for you to upgrade to the hall if it is available, there is an additional cost to upgrade. If you would like to enquire about upgrading please call the bookings team on 01708 433155 (Monday – Friday between 9am – 3pm).

Covid Measures

 Important Information

  • Please ensure you keep to the maximum capacity numbers, extra guests will not be allowed in the room and will be asked to leave.
  • For the safety of all, we are advising guests to wear facemasks whilst moving about in our building.
  • We will advise your photographer on where they can safely stand, we ask that they do not move around the room and remain in their allocated place.
  • Chairs must remain where they are and are not to be moved.
  • Sanitiser will be available for your use upon entering the building. 

 

COVID-19 Guidance

The government advise regular testing to prevent the spread of Covid 19. We strongly recommend a Covid lateral flow test is taken before attendance at Langtons House.

 

Reasons why tests are requested

Testing does not replace the Covid-19 mitigation measures such as social distancing, masks, hand washing at the event.  

Testing is an additional tool to help prevent the spread of COVID-19

 

Current Covid Isolation Guidelines

If you test positive, your self-isolation period includes the day your symptoms started (or the day you had the test, if you do not have symptoms) and the next 10 full days. Your self-isolation can stop providing you test on days 5 and 6 and both these tests are negative

    Langtons House is a Grade II Listed 18th Century manor house. The house stands in the picturesque landscaped gardens with an ornamental lake, orangery and bath house all dating from the eighteenth century. There are four main rooms and one hall, available for a wide range of celebrations and weddings.
